Hosting

The website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. On every request Cloudflare processes technically necessary data: IP address, time, the address requested, browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the site and protect it from attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Cloudflare processes this data on our behalf. For transfers to the USA, Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses also apply.

Visitor statistics

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and builds no profiles. We only see aggregated figures: pages viewed, country, referring sites, device type and loading times. This tells us which pages guests read and where the site is slow (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Cookies and fonts

This website sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing in your browser. The fonts are served from our own server, so no data goes to Google or other providers for them.

Booking system

On the Book page you can load the WebHotelier booking system (reserve-online.net). WebHotelier belongs to Revplus Hellas S.A., 5th Km Rhodou-Lindou Avenue, 851 00 Rhodes, Greece (data protection officer: dpo@revplus.com). The system only loads when you click “Load booking system”. Your IP address and technical data then go to WebHotelier. WebHotelier sets technically necessary cookies for language, currency and the booking process and loads fonts from Google (Google Ireland Limited).

If you book, Revplus processes your contact, booking and, where applicable, payment details on our behalf under a data processing agreement, so that we can conclude and perform the rental contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Revplus stores the data with Amazon Web Services in Frankfurt and in Northern Virginia (USA). We keep booking data for as long as Greek tax and commercial law requires.

Map

On the Location page you can load a map from OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom). It only loads after you click. Your IP address and technical data then go to OpenStreetMap (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). The United Kingdom is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission.

Enquiry form

When you send the enquiry form, your enquiry passes through our server at Cloudflare and is delivered as an email to our mailbox at Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland). We only use your details to answer your enquiry and prepare a booking (Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR).

Required are travel dates, number of adults, name and email address; everything else is optional. The server does not store the enquiry, it only delivers it as an email. We delete enquiries once they are dealt with and no retention obligation applies. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@blue-olive.gr.

Email and phone

If you contact us by email or phone, we process your details to deal with your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Emails are kept in our mailbox at Microsoft 365.

Links to Google

The links to Google Maps and to the Google reviews only open Google’s pages when you click them. Google’s privacy policy applies there.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, the right to data portability and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. An email to info@blue-olive.gr is enough.

You can lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. The authority responsible for us is the Hellenic Data Protection Authority: Αρχή Προστασίας Δεδομένων Προσωπικού Χαρακτήρα, Kifisias 1-3, 115 23 Athens, www.dpa.gr. You can also contact the authority in your country of residence.
